European Polyphony Festival
Rhodes – Paris – Tallinn
A meeting of cultures through music
The European Polyphony Festival is a celebration of cultural, musical, and artistic diversity. Founded in 2019 through a collaboration between the associations Arts Spontanés (France) and Ars Artis (Greece), the festival weaves artistic connections each year between Rhodes, Paris, and now Tallinn, bringing together artists, researchers, students, and the general public around ambitious, poetic, and participatory musical projects.
🎶 Rhodes
Set in the stunning medieval city of Rhodes — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — the festival offers concerts, musical walks, film screenings, workshops, and exhibitions. This Mediterranean anchor celebrates the historical resonances between Greek, Byzantine, Eastern, and European cultures, inviting audiences into an immersive artistic journey through the city.
🎼 Paris
Since 2023, the festival has also expanded to Paris, with events in iconic venues such as the Sorbonne and the Parc Floral. This edition highlights Franco-Greek creativity through concerts, installations, workshops, and moments of reflection. In Paris, polyphony becomes a symbol of artistic diversity, transmission, and innovation.
🌍 Tallinn
In 2024, the festival reached new horizons with an edition in Tallinn, Estonia, titled "Rhodes–Reval." In partnership with the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, this northern extension explores the echoes between Mediterranean and Baltic musical traditions, further deepening cultural exchange across Europe.
Un espace de création et de dialogue
More than just a series of concerts, the European Polyphony Festival is a laboratory for creation, a platform for intergenerational exchange, and a space for dialogue between heritage and modernity. Led by an engaged artistic team under the direction of Chrysanthos Antoniou and Savvas Karantzias, the festival invites everyone to listen, feel, and help shape a living, open, and polyphonic Europe.
